Majolica basketweave platter

Victorian, circa 1870. 8.9ins high, 12.6ins wide, 2ins depth. Majolica platter which features a basket border with mottled centre.

Colouration: brown, ochre, green, are predominant.

CONDITION: Good. Tight hairline to one handle.

KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing;

a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the interior.

RESTORATION. Retouched flakes to the rim.
