Large George Jones Majolica salmon tureen with drainer
Victorian, circa 1880. 5.7ins high, 23.6ins wide, 10.2ins depth. George Jones Majolica fish server which features a salmon laying on a bed of leaves.
Colouration: brown, green, black, are predominant.
Bears a pattern number, '2763'. English diamond registration mark for the date ??/03/????.

Condition
CONDITION: Cover: Good. Slight wear to the salmon's head.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln grit caught in the glaze.
RESTORATION: Stabilised and retouched hairline to rim.
Dish: Good. No restoration. Some flakes to the exterior.
Light scratches from use.
KILN EFFECTS: small firing pits to the interior;
flecks of stray coloured glaze to the interior.
Liner: Good. Staining from use.
RESTORATION: Section of liner reglued and join retouched.
Filled chip to the rim.
