Victorian, circa 1867. 5.1ins high, 10.2ins wide, 7.3ins depth. Minton Majolica serving dish which features two shell shaped dishes with central circular handle.
Colouration: turquoise, green, pink, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1159'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1867.

Condition
CONDITION: Generally good. Slight wear to the interior.
KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing and staining to the interior and underside;
kiln soot caught in the glaze to the cream area of the shells (where handle joins with the dish).
RESTORATION: handle reglued in three places and joins retouched.
Stabilised and retouched hairline and two filled and retouched chips to rim of one dish.
