Wedgwood Majolica grape & strawberry compote

Early to mid 20thC, circa 1929. 2.4ins high, 11.4ins wide, 9.8ins depth. Wedgwood Majolica compote which features grape vines and strawberry leaves, with twig rim.



Yellow ground version. Colouration: green, purple, pink, are predominant.





The piece bears maker's marks for the Wedgwood pottery.
Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1929.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. No restoration.

Small chip to foot of stand.



Very slight wear to interior.



KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln grit caught in the glaze to the interior.
