Small George Jones Majolica blossom jug

Victorian, circa 1871. 3.3ins high, 4.1ins wide, 2.5ins depth.

George Jones Majolica jug/pitcher which features pink and white blossom, and green leaves on brown, bark effect ground and a rustic branch molded handle.



Turquoise ground version. Colouration: turquoise, green, brown, are predominant.









Bears a pattern number, '3368'.

Condition

Generally good. Wear to the high points of the molding.





KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing;



kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the interior.



RESTORATION: handle reglued and join retouched;









retouched flake to the rim.
