Victorian, circa 1870. 5.5ins high, 7.5ins wide, 10.2ins depth. George Jones Majolica dish which features a dove seated on a branch handle.
Colouration: green, white, brown, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the George Jones pottery. English diamond registration mark for the date 08/03/1870.

Condition
CONDITION: Generally good.
Slight wear to interior.
KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to the bird's left wing.
RESTORATION: Bird reglued and join retouched around the tops of it's legs.
Stabilised and retouched hairline to bird's back.
Retouched flakes to wings,
tail,
beak
and rim.
