Wedgwood Majolica sunflower plate

Victorian, circa 1878. 8.3ins high, 8.3ins wide, 1.2ins depth. Wedgwood Majolica plate which features a sunflower in a basket.
Colouration: green, ochre, brown, are predominant.



The piece bears maker's marks for the Wedgwood pottery. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1878.

Staining from use to reverse.



KILN EFFECTS: glaze run to the brown glaze;
