Minton Majolica robin with holly nut dish

Victorian, circa 1869. 3.7ins high, 7.9ins wide, 4.9ins depth. Minton Majolica nut dish which features a robin sat on a twig with holly leaves and berry decoration.



Colouration: green, cream, brown, are predominant.











The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery.
Bears a pattern number, '1526'. English diamond registration mark for the date 29/11/1869.

Condition

CONDITION: Generally good.

KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to the interior.



RESTORATION. Robin and a section of dish reglued and join retouched













(hairline still visible to the rim on close inspection).



Tip of beak remodelled.
