Majolica fish teapot & creamer
Victorian, circa 1870. 6.5ins high, 10.4ins wide, 4.7ins depth. Majolica teapot and creamer which features a fish.
Colouration: grey, brown, cream, are predominant.

Condition
CONDITION: Teapot: Fair. Chip to rim and a small chip to lower tail fin.
Flaking around the rim.
Two small bruises to rim.
KILN EFFECTS: stained crazing to rim and interior;
kiln soot caught in the glaze;
glaze run to the grey glazes;
a few glaze misses to the rim;
shrinkage line mold join under spout.
RESTORATION: stabilised and retouched hairline to underside;
filled chips to spout.
Cover: Generally good. Flake to top of finial.
Slight wear to finial.
RESTORATION: stabilised and retouched hairline and re-touched bruise to flange.
Creamer: Generally good. KILN EFFECTS: kiln soot caught in the glaze;
stray fleck of glaze to mouth;
glaze run to glazes.
RESTORATION: filled chip to spout;
stabilised and retouch hairline to handle.
