Small Majolica Palissy snake, snail and frog plate

Victorian, circa 1890. 7.5ins high, 7.5ins wide, 1.4ins depth. Palissy Majolica wall plate which features a coiled snake, frogs and a snail.

Colouration: brown, green, grey, are predominant.

CONDITION: Generally good.

KILN EFFECTS: kiln grit caught in the glaze to the ground.

RESTORATION: Snake's head remodelled (not brilliantly).
