Majolica Palissy monkey wall pocket

Victorian, circa 1870. 8.5ins high, 5.1ins wide, 3.7ins depth. Portuguese Palissy Majolica wall pocket which features a monkey climbing up a palm tree.



Colouration: green, grey, brown, are predominant.

Some small flakes to shredded clay

KILN EFFECTS: glaze run to the green and brown glazes.





RESTORATION. Filled chip to yellow tip.





Remodelled missing sections of shredded clay.
