English Majolica sunflower in basket plate

Victorian, circa 1880. 8.7ins high, 8.7ins wide, 1ins depth. Unidentified English Majolica plate which features a sunflower in a basket.

Colouration: green, turquoise, brown, are predominant.

Flaking to the rim.

Wear to the high points of the molding.

KILN EFFECTS: glaze misses to the basket;

touch mark to the interior.

RESTORATION: Stabilised and retouched hairline to rim.

Filled chip to rim.
