Victorian, circa 1880. 9.4ins high, 6.3ins wide, 4.5ins depth. Gustafsberg Majolica jug/pitcher which features open mouthed fish on a shell and seaweed base.
Colouration: green, purple, turquoise, are predominant.
Bears a pattern number, 'AJ'.

Condition
CONDITION: Good. No restoration.
Small chip to the underside.
Staining from use.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage line along the mold join to the fish's lower lip;
a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the exterior;
glaze run to the black glaze;
the piece leans, where it has moved during firing.
It does however still sit upright.
