Circa 1900. 9.6ins high, 7.7ins wide, 6.1ins depth. Onnaing Majolica jug/pitcher which features a cockerel
with a shield inscribed
'CHANTE CLAIR POUR LA FRANCE' to it's left side and a scroll on it's right side inscribed 'LE GAULOIS'.
Colouration: turquoise, magenta, brown, are predominant.

KILN EFFECTS: glaze misses to the lower base edge;
a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the exterior.
RESTORATION: Remodelled tip to top and bottom beak.
