Wedgwood Majolica Argenta boat&fish sardine dish&cover
Victorian, circa 1882. 3.9ins high, 10.6ins wide, 6.7ins depth. Wedgwood Argenta Majolica sardine box which features rolling waves, fish, shells, coral and a boat handle to the cover. Colouration: cream, brown, pink, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Wedgwood pottery. Bears a pattern number, '3103'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1882.

Dish: Good.
Flake to base rim.
Slight wear to the dish rim.
Wear to the underside.
Staining from use.
KILN EFFECTS: a few glaze misses and some kiln soot caught in the glaze around the base rim;
thin glaze application to the rim.
RESTORATION: two stabilised and retouched cracks to the dish corners.
Cover: Good.
Staining from use to underside.
RESTORATION: retouched flake to the boat.
