Minton Majolica squirrel nut dish
Victorian, circa 1869. 5.3ins high, 7.7ins wide, 9.8ins depth. Minton Majolica nut dish which features a squirrel holding a nut. Colouration: green, brown, ochre, are predominant. The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery.
Bears a pattern number, '1522'. English diamond registration mark for the date 23/07/1869.

Light scratches from use. Wear to the high points of the molding.
KILN EFFECTS: glaze accumulation to the interior.
RESTORATION:
Filled chips and flakes to the rim
and tips to both ears.
