Majolica grape & strawberry plate

Victorian, circa 1870. 9.1ins high, 9.1ins wide, 1.2ins depth. Majolica plate which features strawberry leaves, strawberries, flowers and grapes.

Colouration: brown, green, puce, are predominant.

CONDITION: Generally good. No restoration.

Small chip under the rim.

Small flake to interior.

Staining from use.

KILN EFFECTS: kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the interior;

glaze pops to the interior and underside;

notable crazing.
