Gustafsberg Majolica grape & strawberry platter

Victorian, circa 1880. 8.3ins high, 11.4ins wide, 1.8ins depth.



Gustafsberg Majolica platter which features strawberries, grapes, leaves and flowers. Cobalt blue ground version.
Colouration: cobalt blue, ochre, green, are predominant.



The piece bears maker's marks for the Gustafsberg pottery. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1880.

CONDITION: Generally good. A few small flakes to the rim.





Some wear to interior.







KILN EFFECT: craze line under the rim.



RESTORATION. Filled chip to the rim.
