Minton Majolica pond lily jug/pitcher

Victorian, circa 1868. 8.7ins high, 7.5ins wide, 5.1ins depth. Minton Majolica jug/pitcher which features lilies and lily pads.

Colouration: green, magenta, white, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1228'.
Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1868.

Condition

CONDITION: Good.

Slight wear to exterior and handle.

KILN EFFECTS: touch mark to the interior of the rim;

glaze run to the green enamel;

glaze pop to the interior.

RESTORATION. Filled and retouched chip to rim.
