Victorian, circa 1870. 5.5ins high, 9.1ins wide, 3ins depth.
Majolica teapot which features an elephant with ribbon finial and handle.
Colouration: grey, lilac, green, are predominant.

Condition
Teapot: Generally good. Staining from use.
KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing;
kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the exterior.
RESTORATION: filled chips and flakes to spout;
two stabilised and retouched hairlines to rim;
retouched flakes to handle.
Cover: Generally good. KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing;
uneven glaze application all over;
flecks of stray coloured glaze to the underside.
RESTORATION: filled chips to flange;
retouched flakes to ribbon.
