Elias Majolica Palissy fruit platter
Victorian, circa 1890. 9.8ins high, 9.8ins wide, 4.3ins depth. Elias Portuguese Palissy Majolica wall plate which features a apple, pear, orange, banana, grapes, a lime and a strawberry.
Colouration: green, brown, ochre, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Elias pottery.

Condition
CONDITION: Generally good.
Chips to orange and pear leaves.
Flaking to the apple and strawberry.
Flakes to the rim.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln detritus caught in the glaze to all the fruit and the ground;
over glazed shrinkage lines to the handle
and rim.
RESTORATION: Old restoration to pear leaf and apple.
