Victorian, circa 1890. 5.5ins high, 5.5ins wide, 2.8ins depth. Jose Francisco de Sousa Portuguese Palissy Majolica wall plate which features walnuts.

Colouration: brown, green, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Jose Francisco de Sousa pottery.

Condition

Generally good. KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to the walnuts;

kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the ground.

RESTORATION. Filled chips to rim and foot rim.
