Victorian, circa 1873. 8.3ins high, 8.5ins wide, 4.9ins depth. George Jones Majolica teapot which features leaves and blossoms.
Turquoise ground version. Colouration: turquoise, brown, green, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the George Jones pottery. Bears a pattern number, '3303'. English diamond registration mark for the date 23/04/1873.

CONDITION: Cover: Generally good. KILN EFFECTS: slight staining just above the rim.
RESTORATION: Filled chip to edge, under rim and inner rim.
Section of inner rim reglued and join retouched.
Pot: Generally good. Flake to basket weave decoration.
KILN EFFECTS: uneven glaze application to rim;
kiln soot caught in the glaze to rim.
RESTORATION: Filled chip to spout.
Stabilised and retouched hairline to rim.
Retouched bruise to rim.
