George Jones Majolica jardinière which features marsh marigold flowers and leaves. Cobalt blue ground version. Colouration: cobalt blue, ochre, green, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the George Jones pottery. Bears a pattern number, '5273'.

CONDITION: Generally good. Slight staining from use.
KILN EFFECTS: glaze run to the cobalt blue glaze;
kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the exterior;
flecks of stray coloured glaze to the ochre rim;
glaze pops to the ochre rim.
RESTORATION: Stabilised and retouched crack running from rim to base.
