Wedgwood Majolica heron plate with pierced rim
Victorian, circa 1869. 9.2ins high, 9.2ins wide, 1.1ins depth. Wedgwood Majolica plate which features a heron at the edge of a pond. Designed by Joseph Theodore Deck. Colouration: cream, ochre, green, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Wedgwood pottery. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1869.

Good. No restoration.
Some wear to the interior.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln soot caught in the glaze;
flecks of stray coloured glaze to the interior.
