Minton Majolica two handled floral vase

Victorian, circa 1876. 6.6ins high, 4.5ins wide, 4.5ins depth. Mintons Majolica vase which features flowers above a basket weave trellis. Cobalt blue ground version. Colouration: cobalt blue, ochre, white, are predominant.









The piece bears maker's marks for the Mintons pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1316'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1876.

Good.

KILN EFFECTS: over glazed shrinkage line to the lower base edge;



a couple of glaze pops to the interior.



RESTORATION: filled chips to petals and leaves; remodelled petals to flowers;







stabilised and retouched hairline to rim.
