Caldas Da Rainha Palissy Majolica wall plate which features figs and leaves.



Colouration: brown, green, puce, are predominant.

The piece bears marks which we cannot attribute to a particular source. Bears a pattern number, '16'.
Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1900.

Condition

Generally good. Chips to some of the branches.









KILN EFFECTS: kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the interior;



over glazed chips to the leaves;








over glazed shrinkage cracks to the leaves and branches;











stilt marks to the interior.







RESTORATION: Filled chips to the rim and leaves.







Remodelled section of branch and one leaf.
