Rorstrand Majolica snake urn/vase
Victorian, circa 1880. 17.3ins high, 9.6ins wide, 7.5ins depth.
Rorstrand Majolica urn which features four coiled snakes forming the twin handles.
Colouration: cobalt blue, green, ochre, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Rorstrand pottery.

Condition
CONDITION: Good. KILN EFFECTS: glaze accumulation to the handles;
glaze run to the cobalt blue glaze;
notable crazing to the interior;
base is uneven, causing the urn to rock when sat on a flat surface.
RESTORATION: Two snakes have had sections reglued and joins retouched.
Retouched flakes to the leaves at the bottom of the handles and to the cobalt blue rim.
