Pair Wedgwood dragon red lustre footed vases

Circa 1920. 8.6 ins high, 6ins wide. Pair of Wedgwood dragon lustre vases, shape number 2357. Vase decorated with a celestial dragon and sacred pearl with flames motif on a ruby ground.















Checkered gilt border around the rim and footrim. Mother of pearl interior with Papillon border and butteflies.













Wedgwood 'Portland vase' maker's mark to underside of vase, along with pattern number 'Z4827'.










Condition

CONDITION: Vase 1: Good. No restoration. Glaze run to the interior.





Glaze defects to the exterior.







Slight rubbing to gilt.







Scratches to the underside (under the glaze).



Rings well.

Vase 2: Good. Glaze run to the interior.





Glaze defects to the exterior.







Some rubbing to the gilt.







Rings well.

Restoration: Filled chip to rim.
