Staffordshire spaniel head money box
Victorian, circa 1890. 3.9ins high, 4.3ins wide, 3.5ins depth.
Staffordshire money box which features a spaniel's head, resting directly on the ground, no base. White and gilt version. Bright gilt embellishment.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse. Vent hole to the underside.

Condition
CONDITION: Generally good. No restoration. Tight hairline to edge of slot.
Rubbing to gilt.
Some wear to ears and underside.
KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to left ear and top of head;
over glazed shrinkage lines to the base edge and along the mold join;
touch mark to the right ear.
