Staffordshire sheep figure

Victorian, circa 1860. 2ins high, 3ins wide, 1.8ins depth. Staffordshire porcellaneous figure which features a sheep, recumbent on a shaped base. White and gilt version. Dull gilt base line.







Decorated mainly to the front.

Condition

Generally good. Some small flakes to shredded clay.



Slight wear to sheep's muzzle.



KILN EFFECT: shrinkage crack to the underside.



RESTORATION: Gilt retouched.



Left front knee and right hind leg remodelled.
