Staffordshire group with two sheep
Victorian, circa 1860. 5.3ins high, 5.7ins wide, 2.4ins depth. Staffordshire figure with a pastoral theme which features two sheep in front of a tree, stood on a shaped base. Multi-coloured version. Bright gilt base line. Decorated mainly to the front.

Condition
Good. Some small flakes to green shredded clay.
Small paint loss to leaf on base front.
KILN EFFECTS: very slight kiln soot caught in the glaze to both sheep;
shrinkage crack to base edge at front;
flecks of stray green coloured glaze to top of base.
RESTORATION: Retouched left eye and eyebrows to right hand sheep.
