Pearlware Staffordshire Dandies group

pre-Victorian, circa 1820. 8.3ins high, 4.3ins wide, 3.1ins depth.

Staffordshire group which features 'Dandies' - a well dressed lady and gent standing arm in arm. The lady carries a handbag, stood on a square base. Multi-coloured version.



Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

Condition

Generally good. Tight hairline to her left foot.



KILN EFFECTS: kiln detritus caught in the glaze to his jacket;



shrinkage cracks to the top of her left arm;





shrinkage lines to the top of her hat;



tiny bruise to her nose.



RESTORATION. Both heads reglued and joins retouched.









Filled chip to feather in her hat.



Flaked yellow to her skirt retouched.
