Staffordshire Prattware cow creamer

pre-Victorian, circa 1800. 4.9ins high, 2.8ins wide, 6.7ins depth. Staffordshire cow creamer which features a cow with milk maid, seated on a shaped base.



Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.





Hole with cover to cow's back.







Mouth forms a pouring hole.

CONDITION: Generally good.

Some small flakes to base edge.







KILN EFFECTS: touch mark to the cow's left side;



flecks of stray coloured glaze all over.



RESTORATION. Both ears and horns remodelled.





Retouched flakes to base edge



and muzzle.

RESTORATION. Filled chips to rim. Retouched paint losses.
