pre-Victorian, circa 1820. 3.5ins high, 3.3ins wide, 2ins depth. Staffordshire pearlware figure which features a pug, seated on a rectangular base. Multi-coloured version.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Vent hole to the underside.

Condition
Good. Two tiny flakes to lower base edge.
A few paint losses to collar and left eye.
Very slight wear to top of head.
KILN EFFECTS: over glazed bruise to reverse of left ear;
touch mark and firing pit to dog's right front leg.
RESTORATION: Old restoration to rear right corner of base.
