Pair Staffordshire pugs with glass eyes
Victorian, circa 1900. Tallest is 11.6ins high, 9.8ins wide, 4.9ins depth.
Pair of Staffordshire figures which feature a pug with glass eyes, seated on a plinth base. Brown version. Bright gilt embellishment.
Flatback, decorated only to the front. Vent holes to reverse and underside.

Condition
CONDITION: Right facing: Good. Some rubbing to gilt.

KILN EFFECTS: a piece kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the collar;

uneven glaze application to base edge.

RESTORATION. Stabilized and retouched crack running down dog's back.

Replacement glass eyes.

Left facing: Good. Some rubbing to gilt.

KILN EFFECTS: two specks of kiln grit caught in the glaze to the base;


uneven glaze application to base edge.
