Staffordshire Queen Victoria & Prince Albert

Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 7.3ins high, 2.8ins wide, 2.6ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire figures with a royalty theme which feature Queen Victoria holding a child and Prince Albert, stood on a circular base.



Multi-coloured with underglaze blue version. Dull gilt base line and embellishment. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.



Vent hole to the underside.

Condition

Female: Generally good. No restoration.

Small flakes to the tips of her tiara.





A few paint losses to her cloak.







Some rubbing to gilt.



KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage cracks to the underside of the base;



kiln soot caught in the glaze to the front and reverse.





Male: Good. No restoration.
Some rubbing to gilt.

a few specks of kiln grit caught in the glaze to his cloak;





tiny piece of kiln detritus to his right hand; small touchmark to his right sleeve;



shrinkage crack to the underside of the base.
