Staffordshire performing lion Victorian, circa 1860. 8.9ins high, 11.2ins wide, 3.5ins depth. Staffordshire figure with a circus theme which features a performing lion, stood directly on the ground, no base. Multi-coloured version.







Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.



Vent hole to the underside.

CONDITION: Generally good. KILN EFFECTS: piece of kiln detritus caught inside causing piece to rattle. RESTORATION. Old repairs to all four legs,

tail, rump and areas to the back and underside, with joins retouched.

and paint losses to mane.
