Staffordshire Pearlware cow creamer

Victorian, circa 1840. 5.1ins high, 6.5ins wide, 2.2ins depth.



Staffordshire pearlware cow creamer with a pastoral theme which features a cow, stood on a rectangular base.





Multi-coloured version. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse. Hole with cover to cow's back. Mouth forms a pouring hole.

Condition

CONDITION: Generally good. Two small chips to underside of base.



Some small flakes to the base lower edge.





RESTORATION: Retouching to paint losses to ground and cow.















Remodelled horns.





Retouched flakes to both lips, and hairline to lower lip.





Stabilised and retouched crack to base and end of tail.





Filled chips to cover.
