Pair Staffordshire Spaniels & pups on cobalt bases
Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 6.1ins high, 5.1ins wide, 2.5ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire figures which feature a spaniel with pup, seated on a cobalt blue base. Russet, black and white version. Dull gilt base line and embellishment.
Flatback, decorated only to the front.
Vent hole to the underside.

CONDITION: Right facing: Good. No restoration. Small chip to base.
A few paint losses to russet markings.
Some rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: small firing pit to upper base;
touch marks to the reverse;
a few flecks of stray cobalt glaze to reverse;
thin glaze application to blue base and black patches.
Left facing: Good. No restoration. A few paint losses to black and russet markings.
Some wear to upper base.
