Staffordshire spaniels with pup inkwell
Victorian, circa 1860. 5.1ins high, 6.3ins wide, 2.2ins depth.
Staffordshire inkwell which features two spaniels with a pup inbetween them, seated on an oblong base.
Russet and white version. Dull gilt embellishment. Flatback, decorated only to the front.
Book reference not found.
Condition
CONDITION: Good. A few paint losses to russet markings and noses.
Some wear to muzzles.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage line to the underside and reverse;
shrinkage crack to the base rim;
dark patch to front left of base.
RESTORATION. Filled chip to base.
Old retouched russet in places.
