Pr Staffordshire Black and white flower basket spaniels
Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 8.3ins high, 5.5ins wide, 3.9ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire figures which feature a spaniel with a flower basket in its mouth, seated directly on the ground, no base. Black and white version.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Vent holes to the underside.
Maker's marks to the underside.

Condition
Right facing: Generally good. Tight hairline to underside.
KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing;
small firing pit to top of head;
flecks of stray coloured glaze to the reverse.
RESTORATION. Retouching to markings,
nose and flower basket.
Stabilized and retouched hairline under right ear.
One also to the lower base edge just behind dog's tail.
