Staffordshire figure of a hunter & dog with game

Victorian, circa 1860. 14.4ins high, 7.1ins wide, 3.2ins depth. Staffordshire figure with a hunting theme which features a hunter and his dog, stood on an oblong base.



Multi-coloured with underglaze blue version. Dull gilt base line and embellishment.

Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse. Vent hole to the reverse.

Condition

Good. A few paint losses to dog and cape.





KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing;





shrinkage lines to the underside.



RESTORATION. Filled chip to rabbit's ear.
