Staffordshire Lady with begging spaniel & harp figure

Victorian, circa 1860. 7.9ins high, 4.3ins wide, 2.4ins depth. Staffordshire figure with a musical theme which features a lady with a begging spaniel and a harp, stood on a shaped base.



Multi-coloured with underglaze blue version. Dull gilt embellishment. Flatback, decorated only to the front.



Vent hole to the underside. Maker's marks to the underside.



Book reference not found.

Condition

Good. Two very small flakes to nose and bottom lip.



A few paint losses to base and spaniel.







Slight rubbing to gilt.



KILN EFFECTS: glaze miss to base;



flecks of stray colored glaze to her dress and right arm and spaniel's nose;



shrinkage line to top of pillar.



RESTORATION. Old restoration to pink ball on top of pillar.
