Pair Staffordshire Protestantism & Popery figures

Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 9.4ins high, 3.9ins wide, 3.7ins depth. Pair of Parr Factory Staffordshire figures with a religious theme
which feature a Priest and a young woman each holding a Bible, stood on a circular base.

We think they have possibly been matched up together at some stage because they have significantly different crazing.

The pieces are titled, 'PROTESTANTISM.' and 'POPERY.' to the fronts.

Multi-coloured version. Dull gilt base line and embellishment.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

Vent hole to the underside.
