Staffordshire Disraeli whippet with hare
Victorian, circa 1860. 10.8ins high, 8.7ins wide, 3.9ins depth. Staffordshire figure which features a Disraeli whippet with a dead hare (The curls represent Disraeli's, elected Prime Minister 1868 and Queen Victoria’s favourite), stood on an oval base. Black and white version. Dull gilt base line.
Flatback, decorated mainly to the front.
Vent hole to the underside.

Condition
Generally good. Some paint losses to the ground.


Very slight rubbing to gilt.

KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing.

RESTORATION: remodelled both of whippet's ears;


retouching to whippet's and hare's face


and ground.
