Staffordshire porcellaneous standing lion figure

Victorian, circa 1850. 4.3ins high, 4.3ins wide, 2.4ins depth.





Staffordshire porcellaneous figure which features a lion, stood on an oblong base. White and gilt version. Dull gilt base line.





Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

Condition

Good. Slight wear to muzzle.



Slight rubbing to gilt.







KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage line along the mold join on the lion's mane.



RESTORATION. Remodelled tail.





Filled chip to base.
