Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 6.3ins high, 5.1ins wide, 2.8ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire figures which feature a spaniel and pup, seated on a cobalt blue base.
We think they have possibly been matched up together at some stage because they have significantly different markings.
Black and white version. Dull gilt base line and embellishment.
Decorated mainly to the front.
Vent holes to the underside.

Right facing: Generally good.
Some rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: touch mark to the front of base and spaniel's muzzle;
flecks of stray coloured glaze to the front.
RESTORATION. Filled chip to base.
Stabilized and retouched crack to spaniel's chest.

Slight rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln soot caught in the glaze to front and reverse;
