Staffordshire Homer bust
Victorian, circa 1900. 9.4ins high, 5.5ins wide, 2.6ins depth. Staffordshire bust with a theatrical and literary theme which features the
Greek poet Homer, on a shaped hollow base.

Multi-coloured version.

Decorated in the round with decoration to the front and the reverse.



Vent hole to the underside.

Book reference not found.
Condition
Good.
Tight hairline to left ear.

Small flake to underside of nose

and one to hair.

Slight wear to the base.


Kiln effects: tiny glaze pops to tunic;

two over glazed shrinkage cracks to underside.

RESTORATION. Retouching to hair at reverse,

tunic

and lower base edge.


Head reglued and join retouched.
