Victorian, circa 1840. Tallest is 7.9ins (20 cm) high, 3.9ins (10 cm) wide, 2.2ins (5.5 cm)

depth.

Pair of Staffordshire figures with a military theme which feature Sir Robert and Lady
Florentia Sale on horseback, seated on on an oval base.. The pieces have possibly been
matched together at some stage. We think this because they have different crazing

The pieces are titled, 'Sir R Sale' and 'Lady Sale' to the fronts of the bases

Multi-coloured with underglaze blue version. Dull gilt titles and embellishment. Flatback,

decorated mainly to the front. Vent hole to the underside.

page 123, figure 302/303.
